Job Summary

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Branch Manager in overseeing daily store operations, ensuring smooth and efficient workflows across sales, stock, and admin functions.
  • Assist in implementing sales strategies and monitoring sales performance to meet daily, weekly, and monthly targets.
  • Help manage stock control, including order accuracy, deliveries, stock levels, and system updates (e.g. VISION and WOM systems).
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by resolving client queries, managing complaints, and building lasting relationships.
  • Supervise and support team members in their roles, promoting a positive, performance-driven environment.
  • Assist with cash management, debtor accounts, and compliance with company financial processes.
  • Coordinate with Head Office and other branches regarding policies, reporting, and operational updates.
  • Contribute to training, coaching, and developing staff to uphold company standards and improve productivity.
  • Ensure health, safety, and housekeeping standards are upheld in line with company policies.
  • Step in during the Branch Manager’s absence to maintain operational continuity.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Matric Certificate (with Maths Literacy minimum)
  • Additional related courses/qualifications will be an advantage
  • 3–5 years’ experience in a supervisory or assistant management role within the motor industry
  • Sound technical knowledge and understanding of motor parts
  • Experience in motor part sales and customer service
  • Understanding of profit & loss, basic financial responsibilities, and store budgets
  • Familiarity with procurement processes and supplier relations
  • Exposure to ISO 9001 / 45001 or other relevant quality management systems
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Experience with stock management systems and controls
  • Strong background in sales and customer interaction
