Job Summary
- Matric (With pure Maths)
- Relevant Accounting / Financial degree with Honours and a Higher Diploma in Tax.
Requirements
- Minimum Three (3) Years Accounting and Tax experience;
- Onesource tax system experience;
- JDE System experience will be advantageous; and
- MS Office Competence.
Duties
- SARS Administration
- Completion and submission of monthly VAT returns for the holding company and major subsidiaries;
- Completion and submission of Provisional Tax returns;
- Completion and submission of Corporate Income Tax Returns;
- Tax Clearance Certificate applications;
- Maintenance of all entity registrations and their tax references;
- Maintenance of all companies on the SARS e-filing system;
- Attending to all SARS queries;
- Tax Software system (Thomson Reuters Onesource)
- Uploading all trial balances on tax software system (Thomson Reuters) for the Group;
- Review of tax schedules and tax packs on Onesource to ensure completeness of information;
- Assistance with balancing deferred tax for the Group and reporting thereon;
- Matching of key numbers between Onesource and Reporting systems;
- Assisting the Operations with queries on Onesource;
- Management of the tax software system;
- Financial Year-end Obligations
- Preparation of tax computations, schedules and supporting documents not part of the tax software system;
- Supplying Auditors with tax information during audit;
- Assisting Operations with all tax technical queries;
- Assisting the Tax Compliance Officer with Financial Statement disclosure and adhoc queries; and
- Perform other related duties as may be required from time to time.
