Job Summary
Experience and Qualifications
- Proven experience in PLC programming and robot programming, preferably within the automotive sector.
- Experience with Kuka Robots and Beckhoff or Siemens PLCs is highly advantageous.
- Diploma/Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related field, or a relevant trade certificate (Electrical, Millwright, or Mechatronic).
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in various programming languages.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of mechanical and electrical installation processes.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
Soft Skills:
- Strong organisational and project planning skills.
- Excellent teamwork and collaboration capabilities.
- Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Additional
Requirements:
- Willingness to travel to client sites, both locally and internationally, for extended periods (up to 3 months).
- A valid driver’s license.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, including working overtime when required.
Key
Responsibilities:
- Perform the installation and maintenance of electrical and automation systems, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety.
- Collaborate closely with the installation team to ensure the smooth and successful execution of projects.
- Program and troubleshoot PLCs and robotic systems, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
- Conduct fault finding and debugging on automation and robotic systems to resolve issues quickly and effectively.
- Assist with mechanical and electrical installations as required.
- Provide training, guidance, and support to junior staff members, promoting a culture of learning and development.
- Integrate various automation equipment and ensure seamless system functionality.
- Create and maintain project documentation and detailed reports.
