About the Company

An established engineering firm in Menlo Park is seeking a meticulous and driven Bookkeeper to support their finance function. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior finance professional to grow their skills in a technical, project-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and update financial records accurately
• Process invoices, purchase orders, and supplier payments
• Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts
• Assist with VAT submissions and statutory compliance
• Handle debtors and creditors functions
• Support the Finance Manager with month-end tasks
• Maintain proper filing and document control
• Assist with ad-hoc finance duties as required

Minimum Requirements

• Matric (essential)
• 2+ years’ experience in a junior finance or bookkeeping role
• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles
• Experience with accounting software (e.g. Sage, Xero, Pastel — an advantage)
• Proficient in MS Excel
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
