Job Summary
Qualifications Required:
- A relevant qualification in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a CAD Designer in the clothing industry.
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator is essential.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Strong artistic skills with a keen eye for detail, color, and pattern development.
- Experience in CAD design for garments, trims, and branding elements.
- Ability to interpret design briefs and quickly translate garments into CAD designs.
- Experience in creating detailed tech packs to support production.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Strong communication skills to effectively articulate design concepts.
- Passion for fashion, trends, and innovation in clothing design.
Key Duties and
Responsibilities:
- Research and analyze seasonal trends to inform design direction.
- Develop CAD designs for garments and trims to support the creative process.
- Assist in trim development to ensure high-quality finishes.
- Translate CAD designs into patterns and grading for production.
- Create mood boards and color palettes to define the brand’s design aesthetic.
- Assist in range building and competitor analysis to maintain market relevance.
- Design branded swing tickets, trims, graphics, and prints that align with the brand’s identity.
- Work on various design projects, including apparel graphics, all-over prints (AOP), and branding elements.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging fashion innovations.
- Assist with sample organization, photography, and tagging according to season and branding.
- Ensure all samples are correctly labeled and displayed in an organized manner.
