Job Summary
Key
Responsibilities:
- Operate CNC (not a requirement but will be beneficial) and manual lathes to manufacture components according to specifications and technical drawings.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine machining processes and specifications.
- Set up machines, including tool changes and adjustments, to ensure optimal production efficiency.
- Monitor the machining process for accuracy and make necessary adjustments to maintain tolerances.
- Perform quality checks using precision measuring instruments to ensure parts meet required specifications.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to company policies and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members and engineers to troubleshoot and resolve machining issues.
- Document production activities and maintain accurate records of work performed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in machining preferred.
- Proven experience as a Turner or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of machining processes and technical drawings.
- Familiarity with precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
