About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Dairy Manager to join our team at Farm Manager SA in Gauteng. The successful candidate will have a strong background in dairy herd management and pasture management, with experience in managing large-scale farming operations. A degree or diploma in Agriculture is highly advantageous, and proficiency in 4th Quadrant systems is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage dairy herd and implement effective breeding programs
- Oversee pasture management to ensure optimal grazing conditions for the herd
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and farm staff
- Implement maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years previous dairy herd management experience
- Minimum of 2 years previous pasture management experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Computer literate
- Ability to speak Xhosa advantageous
- Valid driver’s license
Qualifications
- Diploma/Degree in Agriculture, highly advantageous
- Knowledge of 4th Quadrant systems
- Maintenance orientated advantageous
