About the Role:
A well-established logistics company is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Dispatch Controller to oversee daily dispatch operations. This role requires strong coordination skills, the ability to work under pressure, and a commitment to ensuring efficient deliveries.
Key
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and monitor all dispatch operations to ensure timely deliveries.
- Allocate and schedule deliveries based on priority and route optimization.
- Communicate with drivers and warehouse staff to ensure smooth logistics operations.
- Track vehicle movements and provide real-time updates on delivery progress.
- Maintain accurate records of dispatched orders, delays, and any incidents.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, transport regulations, and safety standards.
- Address and resolve any delivery-related issues promptly.
- Generate reports on dispatch performance and operational efficiency.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in dispatch coordination, logistics, or transport operations.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with drivers, clients, and internal teams.
- Proficiency in dispatch software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize workload effectively.
- Knowledge of fleet management and route planning is advantageous.
- A high level of attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
- A good working knowledge on SAP
