Job Summary
Financial Reporting and Analysis
- Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Develop and maintain financial models, dashboards, and reports using Excel, including pivot tables and complex formulas.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data in Xero and CreditEase.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on financial analysis to support strategic decision making.
Budgeting and Forecasting
- Develop and manage the annual budgeting process, including the preparation of detailed financial forecasts.
- Monitor budget versus actual performance and provide variance analysis.
- Collaborate with department heads to gather necessary inputs and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
Cash Flow Management
- Monitor and manage the company’s cash flow to ensure adequate liquidity.
- Prepare cash flow forecasts and identify potential cash flow issues.
- Optimize working capital by managing receivables, payables, and inventory levels.
Process Improvement
- Identify and implement improvements to manual financial processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Develop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for key financial processes.
- Lead initiatives to automate repetitive tasks using Excel macros and other available tools.
Compliance and Internal Controls
- Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and accounting standards.
- Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy of
- financial records.
- Coordinate with external auditors and provide necessary documentation and support during
- audits.
Systems Management
- Manage and maintain financial systems, including Xero and CreditEase.
- Ensure accurate data entry and integration between different financial systems.
- Provide training and support to staff on the use of financial systems and tools.
Financial Planning and Strategy
- Support senior management in developing financial strategies to achieve organizational objectives.
- Conduct financial feasibility studies for new projects and business initiatives.
- Analyze market trends and provide financial insights to support business growth
Requirements:
- Educational Background:
- CA (SA)
Required Knowledge:
- Accounting Standards and Principles
- In-depth understanding of International Financial Reporting
- Standards (IFRS).
- Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
- (GAAP)
- Proficiency in preparing and analysing financial statements.
- Expertise in financial modelling and advanced Excel skills,
- including the use of pivot tables and complex formulas.
