Job Overview
The Flagman is responsible for ensuring the safe movement of trains, vehicles, and personnel within the work site. The role is critical to maintaining site safety during maintenance, construction, or operational activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Control and direct train, vehicle, and pedestrian movement within the work area.
• Ensure compliance with rail safety rules, signals, and site procedures.
• Assist with setting up warning signs, barriers, and traffic control measures.
• Communicate effectively with site personnel, train operators, and supervisors.
• Monitor work zones to identify potential safety hazards and report incidents immediately.
• Maintain accurate records of work activities, incidents, and safety observations.
• Participate in safety briefings and site inductions as required.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Flagman, Traffic Controller, or similar role in the rail or construction industry.
• Knowledge of railway safety rules and operational procedures.
• Valid Signalman/Flagman certification (if applicable).
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in outdoor conditions and on uneven terrain.
• Alert, responsible, and safety conscious.

Desirable

• Experience in a railway or mobility environment.
• Basic first aid knowledge.
