We are looking for an experienced Fleet Manager who has strong experience with managing a fleet of commercial vehicles (not trucks). Must have excellent admin skills as this role involves dealing with claims, drafting reports etc. A strong background in managing staff, claims, accident investigations, vehicle registrations and fines is essential. A knowledge of technical / mechanics of vehicles is required. We have various sites that the fleet manager may have to travel to occasionally, so some out of province travel may be required from time to time. Our fleet consists of 70 commercial vehicles (cars, minibuses etc). We are not looking for a Logistics Fleet Manager from a Trucking background, this is a hands on role, handling a smaller fleet and dealing with our on-site mechanic and the daily journeys required from the various vehicles, and the maintenance thereof. Overseeing of the mechanic means we require somebody with mechanical knowledge. Going out to breakdowns and or accidents is the norm, so for this reason, a male would be required for this role. Drivers license and own vehicle essential.
