I am recruiting for a dynamic and enthusiastic Junior Sales Person to join a well-established engineering and manufacturing company specialising in CNC machining and metal fabrication. This is an excellent opportunity for a young professional looking to enter the technical sales environment and develop hands-on experience in a specialised industrial sector.

Role Overview

The ideal candidate will support the sales function by assisting clients with enquiries, preparing quotations, and liaising with production teams. Full training will be provided to help the successful candidate build an understanding of CNC machining processes, metal fabrication capabilities, and related manufacturing services.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Support & Internal Sales

• Assist clients with quotations, enquiries, and basic technical information
• Support the sales team with order creation, administration, and customer follow-up
• Maintain accurate records and update CRM/sales documentation
• Coordinate with production and operations teams to ensure accurate order fulfilment
• Provide professional customer service to new and existing clients

Business Development & Lead Generation

• Conduct cold calling and outbound sales initiatives
• Reach out to prospective customers via email and LinkedIn
• Schedule and attend site visits to identify opportunities
• Build a pipeline of leads and nurture prospective customer relationships

Technical Sales Support

• Prepare accurate quotations for CNC turning, CNC milling, laser cutting, bending, welding, and assembly services
• Collect technical drawings, specifications, and relevant documentation from clients
• Liaise with internal technical teams to ensure feasibility and accuracy of quoted work
• Understand basic manufacturing concepts (training provided) to assist in customer guidance

Minimum Requirements

• Matric / Grade 12
• Valid driver’s licence
• 0–2 years’ experience (Preferably in the industrial, fabrication, metalworking or engineering enviornment.)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Strong communication and organisational skills
