About the Role
Makhado Consulting is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager: Investigations & Conflict Resolution to join our team on a 12-month contract basis. The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership, facilitate complaint resolution, and manage investigations and conflict resolution in a fast-paced environment. We are looking for an individual with strong knowledge and experience in dealing with cultural, religious, and linguistic rights of communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the functions of the Unit and provide strategic leadership
- Facilitate the resolution of complaints
- Provide legal services support to the Commission and the public on cultural, religious, and linguistic rights
- Manage the execution of investigations and conflict resolution
- Manage the implementation of legislative review and policy influence
- Manage budget and use human resources effectively
Requirements
- 5 years of experience in the Legal field at middle management level
- Strong knowledge and experience in dealing with cultural, religious, and linguistic rights of communities
- Knowledge of interpretation, application, and limitation of the law
- Computer skills
- People management skills
- Trustworthiness and ability to maintain high level of confidentiality
Qualifications
- A 3-year appropriate Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB) or any other relevant field
- Post Graduate Degree is an added advantage
