The successful candidate must ensure minimal downtime and smooth operation of the factory. Ensure that the factory equipment is setup correctly for various profiles. Be hands on and make certain that autonomous maintenance issues are resolved timeously. Must be able to identify and prioritize multiple tasks.

Job

Responsibilities:

Safety
– Identify specific safety hazards that will be encountered in the  performance of your work and take corrective action to minimize these
– Wear personal protective clothing provided by the company 
specifically when in the factory environment
– Escalate any safety issue within your work area to the factory foreman
– Apply LOTOTO when entering guarded areas

Quality
– Conduct maintenance to a high standard

Operational
– Responsible to maintain all equipment in the factory
– Do daily check lists on the Equipment prior to start up and at the end of shift (Clean photo cells, clean Strapper heads, ex)
– Apply autonomous maintenance principles (visual and hearing and vibration)) to determine any variation in the equipment and report to factory foreman 
– Clean equipment and floor area 
– Ensure that all equipment in the factory operate smoothly
– Assist with breakdowns
– Good housekeeping in line with 5S principles
– Upon completion of jobs, communicate with factory foreman and Line Supervisor
– Any other reasonable duties he may be called upon to either assist with or execute as and when necessary
– Work Shifts and Weekends

Qualification:
– Grade 12 Certificate
– Millwright (Electrical/Mechanical) trade qualification 
– Working knowledge of SAP would be beneficial
– At least 3 years’ experience in a production and industrial 
environment

Skills:
– Sound Knowledge on Omron, Siemens and ABB PLCs
– Experience on Pneumatics and Hydraulics
– Able to read and interpret Instructions, Setup Procedures, 
Electrical Drawings and Manuals.
– Ability to do problem solving
– Able to communicate clearly and effectively 
– Committed to safety and teamwork.
– Highly motivated.
– Ability to organize and plan tasks.
– Ability to do fast and effective Electrical and Mechanical fault 
finding
– Self-Directing: Able to work towards specific goals and

– Maintain 5S and Housekeeping standards
