About the Role
We are seeking a seasoned Planning Manager to join our team at Rad Resources in Gauteng. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading end-to-end demand planning, supply planning, forecasting, and inventory optimization across the business. Your strong leadership skills, analytical prowess, and stakeholder management expertise will be crucial in driving service excellence, cost optimization, and effective working capital management through integrated business planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end demand planning, supply planning, forecasting, and inventory optimisation across the business.
- Translate demand forecasts into achievable supply and production plans.
- Drive inventory strategy, optimisation, and obsolescence reduction.
- Lead the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) / Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process.
- Ensure planning data integrity and effective use of ERP and planning systems.
- Identify and mitigate supply and demand risks.
- Lead and develop planning and inventory teams.
- Partner closely with Manufacturing, Commercial, Finance, Logistics, and IT teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Industrial Engineering, Business, Economics, or a related field.
- 10+ years’ experience in senior supply chain, planning, or operations roles.
- Proven experience in demand planning, supply planning, and S&OP / IBP.
- Strong ERP and planning system experience (e.g. Syspro, SAP, Oracle, or similar).
Qualifications
- Completed Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
