About the Role
Network Finance, a well-established organisation operating within the distribution and warehousing sector, is seeking a technically focused Finance Manager to oversee and strengthen the finance function at business-unit level. Based on the East Rand, this role is best suited to a detail-driven finance professional who enjoys rolling up their sleeves and taking full accountability for financial accuracy, compliance, and control.
Key Responsibilities
- Full responsibility for monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting in line with accounting standards
- Preparation, review, and sign-off of management accounts, journals, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Ensuring accuracy and completeness of the general ledger, including fixed assets, inventory, provisions, and accruals
- Management of budgeting and forecasting processes with detailed variance analysis
- Oversight of working capital, including cash flow, inventory valuation, and debtor controls
- Ensuring compliance with internal controls, delegated authorities, and governance frameworks
- Coordinating audit processes and acting as the primary point of contact for internal and external auditors
- Maintaining and improving financial policies, procedures, and documentation
- Providing technically sound financial support to operational and senior management
- Managing, reviewing, and developing the finance team with a strong focus on quality and accountability
Requirements
BCom degree or equivalent qualification
Completed SAICA articles is essential
Approximately three to six years of post-articles experience in a technical finance or accounting role
Strong exposure to financial reporting, balance sheet management, and audit processes
Experience within distribution, warehousing, manufacturing, or similar asset-intensive environments is advantageous
Solid experience working on ERP systems and advanced Excel capability
Qualifications
- BCom degree or equivalent qualification (Formal education/certification)
