• Matric 
• Project Management /Production/Estimator Degree/Diploma

Requirements 

• Must be able to manage time sheets, time and motion, strong organising, scheduling, planning skills, have steel manufacturing background experience as well as galvanizing, fabrication, knowledge of welding procedures, policies, ISO Standards Knowledge
• Must have strong technical steel, nuts, bolts, hydraulics, pneumatics knowledge

Duties 

• A Production Planner ensures the production process goes smoothly by making sure all of the appropriate parts are in place and ready to go.
• Planning, scheduling and coordinating production of the company’s products
• Evaluating raw materials and equipment to ensure everything is in place for production
• Scheduling shifts and workers to provide proper coverage
• Watching costs to ensure the production process stays within budget
• Reporting on the production status and any production issues to upper management
• Handling production disruptions and productivity problems
• Finding ways to improve productivity and reduce costs
• Using market forecasts and competitive analysis to anticipate necessary production changes
