Job Description
Working within the Delivery team, this role seeks a proven Project Manager to drive success across virtual teams within a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The position offers the opportunity to contribute during the pre-project lifecycle before taking ownership of customer delivery projects. Responsibilities typically include overseeing project schedules, performance, and budgets to ensure objectives are achieved. Strong project management and technical skills are essential, as a solid technical background is often required to manage competing priorities. Projects are generally focused on delivering new or enhanced products to achieve customer satisfaction through the realization of business benefits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all data preparation and collection for projects, including all project documentation.
- Apply project management methodologies in the development and execution of project plans, schedules, budgets, control points, risk assessments, monitoring, resource allocation, and status reporting.
- Manage day-to-day project scope, including meetings, status coordination, schedules, project plans, and financials.
- Foster a strong strategic image of company capability.
- Inform management of deviations from schedule, scope, or budget, with recommendations to bring projects back on track.
- Multi-task across multiple project activities and concurrent projects.
- Actively participate in customer meetings with Sales and Operational teams.
- Participate in solution design, testing, and training activities.
- Identify resource requirements and assign project responsibilities accordingly.
- Comply with solution delivery and corporate policies and procedures.
- Protect company and customer information assets to ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
- Collaborate effectively with stakeholders including sales, operations, systems engineering, service providers, product development teams, and other cross-functional groups.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in project management.
- Relevant tertiary qualification is essential.
- Professional certification (PMP, PMI) is required.
- Working knowledge of MS Project is required.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Willingness to travel nationally and/or internationally.
- Experience within the utility industry is advantageous.
- Exposure to software projects and international project environments is highly desirable.
