About the Role
Network Finance, a multinational manufacturing conglomerate with a strong global footprint and established operations in South Africa, is seeking an experienced Senior Bookkeeper to join their team. Based in Johannesburg East, this role offers stability, structure, and long-term career potential for a skilled accounting professional.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain financial records up to balance sheet
- Manage general ledger maintenance and reconciliations
- Process and reconcile accounts receivable and payable
- Prepare and reconcile bank payments and bank accounts
- Process foreign exchange transactions
- Reconcile credit cards and expense claims
- Prepare monthly journals and adjustments
- Maintain the fixed asset register
- Support month-end and year-end close processes
- Manage inventory control systems and processes
- Oversee quotations, orders, invoicing and stock preparation
- Plan and manage stock takes
Requirements
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance
- 15+ years experience in an accounting / bookkeeping role (essential)
- Experience within manufacturing or high-volume environments advantageous
- Strong exposure to foreign currency transactions
- Working knowledge of Sage or Pastel Evolution (preferred)
- Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel
- Strong reconciliation and problem-solving skills
- Highly organised and deadline-driven
- Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Collaborative team player with a hands-on approach
Qualifications
- Completed Matric (Grade 12)
