Position Overview:
A leading freight forwarding company based in Kempton Park is seeking a highly experienced Senior Imports Controller to join their dynamic team. This critical role requires a seasoned professional with profound expertise in sea and air imports, adept at managing the full spectrum of forwarding processes.
Key

Responsibilities:

• End-to-End Forwarding Management: Oversee and manage the complete import process for sea and air shipments from initiation to final delivery.
• CargoWise Proficiency: Utilize CargoWise software efficiently to monitor shipments, manage documentation, and ensure compliance with international forwarding protocols.
• Client and Stakeholder Liaison: Maintain strong relationships with clients, carriers, and international agents to facilitate seamless operations.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all import activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Operational Excellence: Identify opportunities to streamline processes, enhance efficiency, and reduce costs.
• Mentorship: Provide guidance and support to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years’ experience in sea and air imports within the freight forwarding industry.
• Industry Background: Demonstrated experience working with mid to large-sized organizations.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in CargoWise software is essential.
• Expertise: Comprehensive understanding of start-to-end forwarding processes.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong analytical skills with the capability to troubleshoot and resolve complex logistical issues.
• Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in handling documentation and compliance matters.

Remuneration:

• An attractive salary package of R50K – R65K monthly
