JOB DESCRIPTION INFORMATION:
Job Title: IT Applications Support
Employment Type: Permanent, On-site
Work Location: Bedfordview, Johannesburg
ROLE OVERVIEW:
As an IT Applications Support professional, you will be responsible for maintaining and supporting the software applications used within the organization. This includes troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, ensuring optimal performance of applications, and providing user support to address any software-related inquiries.
You will also work closely with development teams to implement updates, enhancements, and patches, ensuring that the applications continue to meet business needs effectively.
Your role is critical in ensuring the smooth operation of the organization’s IT systems and providing a seamless user experience.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Advanced Diploma in IT.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- 8 years’ experience with the overall coordination, implementation, execution and day to day support of the complete IT applications portfolio.
- 8 years’ experience with delivery and support to the IT Applications Manager to deliver IT services.
- 8 years’ experience with managing testing scripts and identifies opportunities for improvement.
- 8 years’ experience with developing and maintaining an effective daily checklist for applications 24/7 support.
- 12 years’ experience providing ongoing troubleshooting, support and maintenance of applications.
- 8 years’ experience with coordinating applications housekeeping and ensuring applications are always in an audit ready state.
- 12 years’ experience with plans, schedules and tracks incidents and change request timelines.
- 8 years of direct working experience in applications support capacity.
- 8 years’ experience in a variety of data integration technologies – ETL, flat file, XML, SOAP, etc.
- 13 years knowledge of informational technology disciplines, e.g., software applications, networks, servers and interfaces, production operations, quality assurance and systems management.
PACKAGE & REMUNERATION:
- Will be agreed based on qualifications, applicable experience, and previous earnings.
