About the Role
Bilnor Staffing Solutions is seeking an experienced CNC Press Brake Operator to join our team in Germiston. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for preparing and setting up CNC press brake machines for production runs, operating press brake to bend sheet metal into specified shapes, and ensuring high-quality finished parts are produced efficiently. With a strong focus on quality and teamwork, we are looking for a skilled individual who is committed to delivering exceptional results.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and set up CNC press brake machines for production runs.
- Select and install appropriate tooling, dies and fixtures.
- Program machine controls to achieve required dimensions and tolerance.
- Operate press brake to bend sheet metal into specified shapes.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints and job orders.
- Inspect finished parts using measuring tools (Calipers, gauges, micrometers).
- Perform routine machine maintenance and report mechanical issues.
- Adhere to company health and safety rules and MEIBC regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Work closely with supervisors, production planners, and quality inspectors.
- Record production data, downtime and completed jobs.
Requirements
- Education: Grade 10
- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience operating CNC press brake machines.
- Familiarity with Amanda, Bystronic or similar press brake systems preferred. Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Proficiency in CNC programming and machine controls.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
