About the Role
As a Sales Representative at Route Management, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and customer satisfaction in our strategic accounts. You will act as the main point of contact for customers, ensuring efficient dealer-level coordination and providing expert transport consultancy and sales engineering support to guide correct vehicle selection.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute sales activities for strategic accounts.
- Act as the main point of contact for customers and ensure efficient dealer-level coordination.
- Provide transport consultancy and sales engineering support to guide correct vehicle selection.
- Maintain strong supplier relationships and uphold company SHE policies and best practices.
- Meet or exceed targets for unit sales, market share, and gross profit.
- Oversee the complete deal process, including vehicle selection, fitment, delivery, payment, and file closure.
- Ensure deliveries and handovers are well-controlled and aligned with warranty standards.
- Maintain frequent and structured contact with both prospective and existing customers (calls and visits).
- Keep customers informed throughout the vehicle transaction process.
- Keep customer database accurate and aligned with company records.
- Regularly update and share the database with Sales Management.
- Proactively grow customer relationships by sharing relevant market updates and maintaining ongoing engagement.
- Ensure timely vehicle invoicing and payment processing in line with sales terms.
- Support commission pay-outs by maintaining payment compliance.
- Confirm full payment on all cash sales.
- Maintain high-quality, relevant communication with customers.
- Reinforce the company’s image as a reliable and trustworthy brand.
- Approach all sales with diligence and contribute to overall departmental goals in sales and profitability.
Requirements
- Matric or higher
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience within the trucking/Commercial Industry
- Code 8 license
- Knowledge of the road traffic act
