Job Description

We are on the lookout for a junior field guide to join a small team at a Self Catering Lodge. We are looking for a young candidate new to the industry, newly qualified and a good team player.

Being a self-catering lodge with occasional catering for group bookings, conferences, tour groups, etc. Primarily local tourism.

Responsibilities

– Guiding

– Guest welcome, check-ins

– Lodge checks

– Bush clearing

– General maintenance (pools, vehicles, etc)

– Assisting in other departments when needed, (ie. Catered bookings, etc)

Requirements

Requirements:

– FGASA level 1 (NQF2) membership up to date

– Snake handling

– First Aid

– PDP

– DEAT registered

The position is live in.

Salary will be market related, depending on qualifications and experience, with a game drive commission and conference tip structure
Shared accommodation provided (Own bedroom and Bathroom)
6 weeks on 2 weeks off,
no meals provided unfortunately.
