Main purpose of the job: The part-time consultant obstetrician /gynecologist supports the design, implementation, and advancement of clinical research focused on women’s reproductive health This role is essential for trials requiring specialized ObGyn input, particularly in areas such as pregnancy, childbirth, and gynecological conditions The consultant will contribute clinical expertise to ensure scientific rigor, relevance, and ethical integrity in study protocols and proposals Additionally, they help shape research questions, guide study design, and provide critical insights into interventions and outcomes specific to obstetrics and gynecology Location: 7 Esselen Street, Hillbrow, Wits RHI Research Centre Clinical Research Site (CRS) Key performance areas: Assist in Identifying Research Questions using with their clinical experience and identifying unmet needs that can be addressed through research in their practice.
