About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Curio Shop Assistant to join our team at Leapfrog Hospitality Recruitment. As a key member of our luxury guest engagement team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, managing daily operations, and driving sales growth. Key Responsibilities
- Deliver warm, professional, and personalised guest service
- Assist guests in selecting high-quality, meaningful purchases
- Confidently share the conservation story behind selected products
- Process transactions accurately and discreetly
- Arrange packaging and international courier shipments where required
- Manage daily operations of both Curio shop outlets
- Maintain immaculate visual merchandising standards
- Conduct regular stock counts and reconciliations
- Monitor sales performance and identify opportunities for growth
- Ensure pricing accuracy and strong margin control
- Source and order merchandise aligned with luxury and conservation values
- Build and maintain supplier relationships
- Inspect deliveries for quality and accuracy
- Ensure optimal stock levels based on occupancy trends
Requirements
Previous retail experience (luxury retail preferred)
Hospitality or lodge experience highly advantageous
Strong organisational and administrative skills
Basic financial understanding (mark-ups, margins, stock control)
Computer literacy (POS systems, MS Office)
Excellent command of English; additional languages advantageous
Valid driver’s license preferred
