About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager to join a beautiful luxury river lodge in Hoedspruit. This role is ideal for a polished, guest-focused professional who loves leading teams and creating unforgettable dining experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Overseeing daily restaurant operations and ensuring exceptional Guest satisfaction
- Managing, training and motivating the waitron and beverage teams
- Handling Guest feedback and complaints with professionalism and warmth
- Coordinating service flow, seating, reservations and special requests
- Driving wine service, beverage standards and ongoing team training
- Managing rosters, floorplans, stock control and health and safety standards
- Maintaining ambiance, cleanliness and service excellence across all venues
- Supporting diverse cultural service requirements through staff training and engagement
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role
- Experience with A la carte service for up to 170 pax, including buffets and outdoor functions
- Exposure to running multiple dining venues
- Ability to speak multiple languages or understand international service standards
- Strong administration and organisational skills
- Detail orientated, refined and calm under pressure
Qualifications
