Our client, a leading player in the mining and engineering sector, is seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Crushing Superintendent to join their dynamic operations in the Northern Cape. This is a critical leadership role responsible for overseeing all crushing and screening production activities within a robust open cast mining environment.
Requirements:
- N3 Certificate OR Qualified Artisan (Fitter, Millwright, Diesel Mechanic)
- 5 years+ post-qualification experience in a heavy industrial environment (e.g., mining, heavy engineering)
- 2 years+ experience in a formal Supervisory role
- Non-negotiable hands-on experience with crushing and screening machinery in an open cast mining environment
- A valid drivers license and own transport
- Medically fit to meet mine-specific health and safety standards
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise plant operators to ensure optimal performance of crushing and screening circuits
- Conduct daily performance reviews and provide on-the-spot coaching
- Report equipment issues, breakdowns, and service schedules to the Plant Manager
- Enforce SOPs and safety protocols with strict compliance
- Lead root cause analysis on work comebacks and address training gaps
- Monitor and manage team overtime in line with company policy
