Job Summary
- Maintain accurate financial records including ledgers, journals, and bank statements
- Process accounts payable and receivable
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations
- Assist with payroll processing
- Prepare VAT submissions and ensure SARS compliance
- Support month-end and year-end close processes
- Liaise with external auditors as needed
- Provide financial reports to management
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper, preferably in the hospitality sector
- Strong knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping principles
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. Xero, Pastel, or similar)
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Strong Excel skills
- Relevant qualification or diploma in accounting/bookkeeping
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple properties/units
