We are looking for a business-oriented professional to coordinate and administer Fairtrade certification in assigned African countries. The role requires engagement with high-profile traders and small producers, attention to detail, and willingness to travel for Fairtrade audits.

Start Date: 1 April 2025
Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate producers and traders against Fairtrade Standards
Conduct and assess Fairtrade audits in Africa
Communicate certification decisions and support customers
Assist with annual audit planning and compliance guidance
Identify key account needs and respond to certification queries
Support auditor selection, training, and process improvements
Requirements:
2+ years of experience in certification, compliance, or a related field
Work permit for South Africa & ability to travel internationally
Fluent in English & French (other African languages an advantage)
Strong communication, teamwork, and customer service skills
Experience in international trade or Fairtrade certification is a plus
