Johannesburg: Business Analyst – Debt Review Analytics

Youll be joining a forward-thinking team that transforms data into practical strategies for Debt Review performance. Your work will directly influence how accounts move through the lifecycle, from Active to Pre-Term and Terminated, maximizing collections and improving operational efficiency. This is a role with depth, visibility, and real-world impact where your insights actually drive change. The position reports into senior leadership, giving you exposure to both strategy and operations. Youll become the central hub for analytics, predictive modelling, and process optimization, helping the business make smarter, data-backed decisions. Key Responsibilities: Conduct deep-dive analytics across all Debt Review lifecycle segments to diagnose risk, predict behaviors, and improve yield. Map, assess, and redesign workflows end-to-end, identifying bottlenecks and delivering ROI-focused process improvements. Build and maintain predictive models (drop-off risk, cure/reactivation, post-termination recovery, settlement propensity, and optimal payment models). Segment portfolios and analyze mandate-level performance, providing actionable insights and dashboards for leadership. Produce accurate, timely reporting to support strategy, performance tracking, and operational decision-making. Job Experience and Skills Required: Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Actuarial Science, or similar quantitative field Proven experience in analytics, forecasting, and modelling within financial services, collections, or credit risk Experience translating insights into operational improvements and influencing stakeholders Understanding of Debt Review processes and regulatory frameworks is highly desirable Advanced SQL Python or R for statistical and predictive modelling Financial modelling expertise (NPV, ROI, amortization) Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills Ability to produce clear, actionable insights for operational teams and leadership Confidence presenting to senior stakeholders Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Experience in end-to-end workflow optimization Apply now!
