Johannesburg: Clearing Agent

Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Clearing Agent to manage customs clearance processes, coordinate with shipping lines, and ensure timely delivery of goods. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of import/export regulations and excellent organizational skills. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and process customs documentation for imports and exports. Ensure compliance with local and international customs regulations. Liaise with shipping companies, freight forwarders, and clients. Track shipments and provide updates to relevant stakeholders. Resolve any issues related to customs clearance, duties, and taxes. Maintain accurate records of all transactions and documentation. Requirements: Proven experience as a Clearing Agent or in a similar role. In-depth knowledge of customs regulations, import/export procedures, and relevant legislation. Strong organizational and communication skills. Proficient in relevant software and documentation systems. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
