Johannesburg: CNC Lathe Setter/Operator

Skills and Competencies: Strong knowledge of CNC lathe operation and setup procedures. Ability to read and understand technical drawings and tolerances. Experience with measurement instruments such as verniers, micrometers, and gauges. Ability to work independently and within a team environment. Key Responsibilities: Set up and operate CNC lathe machines according to production requirements. Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and job specifications. Select, install, and align appropriate tools, fixtures, and materials. Adjust machine settings to maintain accuracy and quality throughout production runs. Perform first-off inspections and ensure all parts meet dimensional and quality standards. Monitor machine operations and make necessary adjustments to maintain efficiency. Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning of machines and tooling. Identify and troubleshoot machining or dimensional issues. Maintain accurate production records and ensure compliance with safety procedures. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production deadlines and targets.
