Job Summary
We are looking for a Senior Contracts Manager to support the project execution from tendering to negotiations and execution for this growing team.
Responsibilities:
- Review, drafting, evaluation and negotiating of commercial and general business contracts with Clients, Suppliers and Sub-Contractors;
- Direct the Contract Management activities of project team members in the execution of projects;
- Referrals and rebuttals as required for disputes;
- Audit reports;
- Minutes of meetings as required;
- Expert knowledge and advice
- Perform administrative tasks in contract management and implementation.
Requirements:
- BCom Law or LLB
- 5-8 years experience in the Commercial Legal environment
- Experienced with contract management and standard (FIDIC, NEC, JBCC, etc.)/ proprietary contract form
- Expert knowledge of the family of New Engineering Contracts (NEC);
- Extensive knowledge of the early warning and compensation event/ variation procedures;
- Extensive working knowledge of the principles of design and construction projects
