About the Role
The Employee Benefits Portfolio Coordinator will be responsible for the effective coordination and administration of employee benefits portfolios in Johannesburg. The role requires strong technical knowledge of retirement fund processes, including claims, transfers, month-end activities, and reporting. The successful candidate will work closely with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders to ensure service level agreements are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Process disinvestment and claims requests in line with regulatory requirements
- Generate, review, and submit ROTs and tax applications
- Process, validate, and authorize EFT payments and claim letters
- Manage section 14 claims, transfers in and out, and related reporting
- Oversee claims SLA management, tracking, and reporting
- Process and review month-end contributions and cash outflows
- Validate and authorize investment trades and pricing
- Prepare audit working papers and resolve audit queries
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and month-end accounting
- Compile and deliver client, internal, and regulatory reports
- Facilitate internal and external training sessions and client meetings
- Log, manage, and escalate queries appropriately
Requirements
- Matric or equivalent qualification
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent tertiary qualification (advantageous)
- Certificate of Proficiency in Retirement Funds (COP) minimum required
- Minimum of 5 years experience in an employee benefits or retirement fund administration environment
- Excellent working knowledge of MS Office, including advanced Excel
- Everest system experience essential
- Strong numerical and analytical skills

Salary & Benefits
R25 000 – R30 000 monthly
