We’re Hiring – Enrolled/ Auxilliary Nurse – Anaesthetic Nurse Our client is looking for a Aneasthetic Nurse to join their dynamic team in Johannesburg-North. Key Performance areas: Practice patient care according to his/her Scope of Practice and assume total responsibility for these activities. Be active in preparing the theatre, and replenishment of stock, consignment and instrument replenishment of the operating room allocated to for a procedure list. Be responsible for direct and/or indirect nursing care of a patient while functioning under the direct and/ or indirect supervision of the Registered Nurse. Be responsible for assessment and care as well as the needs of patients and will be responsible for keeping the operating room sterile. Maintain the principals of aseptic technique when opening packs and consumables. Help control patient and hospital costs through the correct, safe and economical use of supplies and equipment. Effective risk prevention and management when assisting Handle equipment, instruments, stock and medication safely and competently. Requirements: Grade 12 or equivalent NQF level 4 qualification. Enrolled Nurse or Auxiliary Nurse qualification. Current registration with South African Nursing Council (SANC). Minimum of 1 years experience in private heallthcare sector. Post-Op. Floor and Anaesthetic nursing experience is essential. Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and patient safety. Knowledge of Infection Control & Prevention. Experience in anaesthetics for this role would be an advantage. Problem-solving, analysis and judgement. Great verbal & written communication and presentation skills.
