Johannesburg: Estimator Manager

Operational Requirements: Develop project plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies to ensure efficient project execution. Developing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility. Ensuring resource availability and allocation, managing materials, labor and timelines effectively. Coordinating internal resources and third parties or vendors for the flawlessness execution of projects. Maintaining comprehensive project documentation to ensure all projects adhere to framework conditions and documentation requirements. Measure project performance using appropriate tools, systems and techniques. Reporting and escalating issues to management as needed. Managing the relationship with the client and all stakeholders, establishing and maintaining relationships with third parties. Performing risk management to minimize project risks. Establishing and managing a detailed project budget to track expenditures and ensure financial accountability. Behavioral Attributes: Excellent verbal and written communication is crucial for liaising with clients, contractors, and team members. Strong interpersonal skills are needed for building relationships and negotiating effectively. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and high level management skills to ensure that construction projects are delivered effectively and efficiently. Minimum Requirements: Relevant Site Construction and Estimation experience is needed Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Quantity Survey or related field Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Construction Estimator in the construction industry Proficiency in construction estimating software such as CCS, Candy,Bluebeam, Procore, Buildsmart or RSMeans Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards Excellent communication and negotiation skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Strong attention to detail and accuracy Professional certification (e.g. Certified Professional Estimator) is a plus
