Job Summary
As a Fire Draughtsperson, you will play a key role in designing and drafting fire protection systems for various commercial and industrial projects. Working closely with Engineers, Project Managers, and installation teams, youll ensure compliance with local regulations and ASIB standards. Key
Responsibilities:
Produce detailed and accurate technical drawings for fire protection systems, including sprinklers, fire alarms, and evacuation plans. Collaborate with design and engineering teams to develop system layouts that align with client requirements. Ensure designs comply with ASIB standards, local building codes, and industry regulations. Coordinate with project teams to ensure the smooth implementation of designs on-site. Update and revise drawings as required during the project lifecycle. Provide technical support and input to ensure designs are practical and cost-effective. Key
Requirements:
Relevant qualification in drafting, design, or a related field. Proven experience as a Draughtsperson in the Building Services or Fire Protection industry. Proficiency in AutoCAD (or similar CAD software); experience with Revit is advantageous. Solid knowledge of ASIB standards and fire system design principles. Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment. Good communication skills for liaising with clients and project stakeholders. Requirements:
Proven experience as an Electrical Draughtsperson, preferably within the energy or utilities sector. Proficiency in MicroStation is essential. Strong knowledge of Eskom standards, guidelines, and procedures. Relevant technical qualification in electrical design or drafting. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
