Key
Responsibilities:

Order and Fuel Management: Manage on-site fuel bowser operations, monitor fuel consumption of all company vehicles and assets, including forklifts, generators, cranes, and crane vehicles. Coordinate fuel deliveries and dispensing, ensuring proper fuel stock levels and efficient fuelling as per company procedures. Maintain accurate records of fuel consumption.

Maintenance and Compliance: Oversee the maintenance and operation of the fuel bowser, ensuring regular inspections, repairs, and adherence to all necessary certifications and permits related to fuel storage and handling.

Fuel Operations: Supervise fuelling operations on-site, including monitoring fuel levels, scheduling refuelling activities, and conducting fuel price negotiations. Communicate price changes to branches and divisions to ensure cost-effective refuelling.

Fuel Efficiency and Data Analysis: Analyze fuel usage data and track vehicle consumption. Identify discrepancies and implement strategies to improve efficiency. Train drivers on fuel-saving techniques and monitor vehicle maintenance to reduce consumption.

Reporting and Communication: Prepare and submit monthly reports to management on fuel consumption, expenses, and savings. Communicate fuel deviations to all branches and divisions, taking corrective action where necessary. Ensure private kilometre travel is investigated and addressed.

Fuel Theft Prevention: Implement measures to prevent fuel theft, including installing anti-siphoning devices and monitoring fuel usage for irregularities.

Technology Integration: Ensure integration of fuel management systems (Keyfleet, TSG, Mix Telematics) for real-time tracking, automated reporting, and benchmarking fuel consumption.

Cost Savings: Achieve a minimum of 5% savings on total fuel spend, based on consumption.

SOP and Policy Enforcement: Enforce adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and the company`s fuel policy across all divisions.
Key Performance Areas (KPAs):
- Financial Management: Ensure cost-effective fuel procurement, meet budgetary goals, and achieve the required savings target of 5% on total fuel spend.
- Customer Service: Maintain high customer service standards for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Operational Efficiency: Uphold SOPs and improve operational processes continuously.
- Employee Development: Create a culture of learning, ensuring employees are equipped and performing to meet expectations.
Minimum
Requirements:
- Matric qualification.
- Minimum of 5 years managerial experience.
- Industry experience of at least 5 years.
- Valid driver`s license.
- Familiarity with IR policies and procedures.
Competencies:
- Proficient in Sage, Salesforce, fuel management systems (TSG, Mix Telematics).
- Strong managerial, communication, and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of fuel regulations, budget management, and technical aspects of vehicle and equipment fuel usage.
- Critical thinking, project planning, and team management skills.
