About the Role
The HMR Specialist role is a key position in our organisation, responsible for driving sales growth of the HMR category/brand while maintaining market volume share at existing and new customers. This role requires a strong understanding of the FMCG industry, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan sales calls to ensure a value-added approach
- Learn and apply client classifications
- Plan on building market share across all categories
- Drive and achieve volumes/budget across all Freddy Hirsch categories
- Conduct demos and other adhoc activities as required
- Build product and industry knowledge through research
- Work on promotional activity as per guidelines required
- Build client relationships and ensure service effectiveness
- Analyse competitor activity and market trends and provide feedback on market intelligence
- Submit weekly sales and ADAPT reports by the required deadline
- Proactively look for new business and market opportunities
- Manage sales administration and other duties as required
- Deliveries carried out to company standard where appropriate
- Ensure C-Track is in line with company standards
- Monitor stock levels
Requirements
- Matric as a minimum qualification
- BSc Food Tech / Applied Food Sciences / Nutrition / Chefs Diploma advantageous
- 1-2 years FMCG sales experience
- Basic cooking ability
- Demonstrations and presentations to clients/customers
- Ability to conduct formal presentations and communicate effectively
- Valid drivers license and flexible to travel
