About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Industrial Engineering Turn-key Salesperson to join our team in Johannesburg, near Roodepoort. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing client relationships, and driving sales growth. You must be willing to relocate near the company and have a strong technical aptitude, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work within industrial and manufacturing environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct prospecting activities including cold-calling, site visits, presentations, product demonstrations, networking, and industry event attendance.
- Develop sales strategies for target markets and key accounts.
- Prepare and deliver technical-commercial proposals, quotations, and tender documentation.
- Conduct needs analysis to determine client production challenges and propose appropriate machinery solutions.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships.
- Serve as primary contact for clients, providing ongoing support and technical guidance throughout the sales process.
- Regularly follow up with clients to ensure satisfaction and identify upsell or cross-sell opportunities.
- Understand customer requirements for machining, fabrication, and custom metal components or similar.
- Collect technical drawings/specifications from clients and communicate clearly with the internal technical team.
Requirements
- Matric / Grade 12
- Valid driver’s license and own reliable vehicle
- Technical qualification preferred: Electrical / Mechanical Engineering N6, Diploma, or related field
- 3–8 years’ Sales experience in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial, Automation, Fabrication, or Machinery Sales

Salary & Benefits
Monthly salary range: R 31 000 – R 35 000 Gross. Commission on top (the client will decide). Discretionary annual performance bonus. Company benefits include pension scheme, medical aid, and other perks. Note that the company does not pay half of the pension at all.
