Job Summary
Job Title: Instrument Mechanician
Location: Gauteng – Mine
Position Overview:
Hire Resolve`s Client are seeking a skilled instrument mechanician to join their team at a mine in Gauteng. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and calibrating a wide variety of instrumentation and control systems used in the mining industry. They must have a strong technical background, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Key
Responsibilities:
– Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain instrumentation and control systems in a mining environment.
– Perform regular inspections, tests, and calibrations on instrumentation equipment to ensure accuracy and optimal performance.
– Diagnose and repair faults in process control systems, PLCs, SCADA systems, and other electronic devices.
– Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, parts used, and equipment history.
– Assist with the planning and execution of preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime and maximize equipment lifespan.
– Work collaboratively with other members of the maintenance team to ensure the safe and efficient operation of equipment and systems.
Qualifications:
– Trade certificate and Grade 12
– Minimum of 3 years of experience working as an instrument mechanician in a mining or industrial setting.
– Strong knowledge of electrical and instrumentation systems, PLC programming, SCADA systems, and control loops.
– Familiarity with relevant regulations and safety standards in the mining industry.
– Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
– Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Salary:
R800 000 – R1m CTC
