Johannesburg: Intermediate Business Intelligence Developer – Johannesburg – up too R380 per hour posted by E-Merge

A provider of comprehensive enterprise Business Intelligence (BI) solutions whose focus is on helping companies strategically manage their financial, operational, and sales environments has an opening for a Senior Business Intelligence Developer to join a growing team and help deliver modern, cloud-first data solutions.

You will work on projects across industries, designing medallion architecture pipelines (Bronze / Silver / Gold layers), building robust Power BI models with DAX, and shaping solutions on Databricks, Synapse, and Fabric

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement scalable data pipelines and models
• Deliver high-quality Power BI reports and visualisations
• Work with ERP, CRM, finance, and operational data sources
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to unlock business value from data

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelors in computer science or informatics or similar
• Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate in
• Power BI (Desktop & Service), including advanced DAX and modelling
• Azure Synapse Analytics / Fabric Data Engineering
• Databricks (PySpark / Spark SQL)
• Azure Data Factory (ETL/ELT orchestration)
• SQL / T-SQL with strong query optimisation skills
• Dimensional modelling and medallion architecture principles
• Azure Data Lake / Blob Storage
• Data governance, row-level security, and best practice standards
• Advantageous: SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, Python, and CI/CD for analytics
