Johannesburg: Intermediate Quantity Surveyor – Remote posted by Hire Resolve

Hire Resolve is excited to offer a remote opportunity for an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join a dynamic team specializing in various construction projects. This role provides the flexibility to work from home while contributing to the management and oversight of project costs and financials.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and managing project budgets and financial reports.
• Conducting cost estimates and evaluations for various construction projects.
• Overseeing subcontractor payments and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
• Managing variations and change orders effectively.
• Maintaining accurate records of project costs, claims, and agreements.
• Collaborating with project managers and stakeholders to ensure project success.
• Delivering timely and insightful financial analysis to support decision-making processes.

Requirements: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in quantity surveying.
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies and cost management processes.
• Proficient in quantity surveying software and MS Office Suite.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.
• Familiarity with relevant contracts and legal aspects in the construction industry.
• knowledge in the Building Environment
