Key Responsibilities

  • Support audit engagements through the assessment of IT related risks and controls across business processes
  • Perform system walkthroughs and data interrogation to evaluate control design and identify control gaps in line with established Risk and Control Matrixes (RACMs)
  • Evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of IT General controls (ITGC’s), IT Application Controls (ITAC’s) and automated processes
  • Collaborate with audit teams on client engagements, including the design and execution of test procedures using data extracted from client systems and databases
  • Assist in the development of audit programs and testing strategies for IT controls and significant risk areas
  • Document audit findings clearly and concisely, contributing to audit completion reports and practical recommendations
  • Provide reliable assurance in line with auditing standards based on evidence gathered and addressed, while applying professional judgement
  • Remain up to date with emerging technologies, evolving risks, and current IT audit methodologies

Requirements

  • Relevant professional qualification or degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Accounting, or a related field
  • Professional certifications such as CISA or progress toward certification would be advantageous
  • Proven experience in IT auditing, ideally within an accountancy or professional services environment
  • Firm understanding of GITCs, IT risk management principles and familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST, COBIT, ISO 27001 or similar frameworks
  • Experience using data analytics tools such as Power BI, SQL, Excel, or similar platforms
  • Familiarity with AI tools such as Co-Pilot, Chat GPT, Gemini or similar platforms
  • Critical analytical skills with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate effectively within team-based environments
