Johannesburg: JUNIOR PRODUCT MANAGER

Job Title: Junior Product Manager Contract Type: Permanent, Onsite Industry: Gambling & Betting Location: Randburg, Gauteng Purpose: In this role, youll sit at the crossroads of tech, UX, and business strategyturning ideas into features that level up player engagement and push the boundaries of the iGaming experience. Youll work side-by-side with experienced and talented cross-functional teams, gaining the support and mentorship you need to become a confident product leader. Essential Functions: · Turn product ideas into well defined user stories, features and enhancements; · Partner with Engineering, QA, Design, and Operations to drive features from concept to launch; · Explore data and player behaviour to uncover opportunities, solve issues, and advocate for user-first decisions; · Support roadmap planning and sprint execution to keep teams aligned and moving with purpose; · Keep an eye on market trends, competitor moves, and emerging innovations; · Help elevate the end-to-end player experience across sports betting and casino products; · Assist in ensuring product decisions meet regulatory and compliance requirements; · Keep documentation sharp and communicate upcoming releases to internal teams. Skills, knowledge and other requirements: · Strong attention to thoroughness and detail; · A structured, analytical mindset with the ability to simplify complexity; · Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools like Jira, YouTrack, or Confluence; · Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach; · A passion for solving real user problems and crafting quality digital experiences; · Experience writing user stories and managing backlogs; · Understanding of UX/UI best practices or hands-on experience with tools like Figma; · Knowledge of gaming regulations, compliance, or responsible gaming; · Experience working in fast-paced, data-driven environments. Requirements: Experience, Education and Other: · Grade 12 (matric certificate required); · Tertiary education (an advantage); · 23 years of experience in product management, business analysis, or a related role (iGaming experience is a big plus); · Previous experience in a betting company, genuine curiosity and enthusiasm for sports betting, casino games, or digital products.
