About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager: Investigations & Conflict Resolution to join our team on a 12-month contract basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the legal field, with expertise in managing investigations and conflict resolution. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic leadership, facilitating the resolution of complaints, and delivering high-quality results under pressure.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the functions of the Unit and provide strategic leadership
- Facilitate the resolution of complaints
- Provide legal services support to the Commission and the public on cultural, religious, and linguistic rights
- Manage the execution of investigations and conflict resolution
- Implement legislative review and policy influence
- Manage budget and use human resources effectively
- Foster collaborative efforts and teamwork
Requirements
- 5 years of experience in the Legal field at middle management level
- Strong knowledge and experience in dealing with cultural, religious, and linguistic rights of communities
- Knowledge of interpretation, application, and limitation of the law
- Computer skills and people management skills
- Trustworthiness and ability to maintain high level of confidentiality
Qualifications
- 3-year appropriate Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB) or any other relevant field
- Postgraduate Degree is an added advantage
