Job Description

Minimum Requirements: BSc or BTech in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering 810 years experience in facilities management within commercial property management Strong experience in Capex budgeting, Opex control, and lifecycle asset planning Proven leadership in building services management and contractor oversight Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills Key Responsibilities: Strategic Facilities & Asset Management Develop and implement portfolio-wide facilities strategies and lifecycle maintenance plans Drive preventative maintenance programmes and 3-year rolling maintenance strategies Provide specialist advisory support on building services, HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and infrastructure systems Financial & Budget Management Manage Capex, Opex, and abnormal maintenance budgets Conduct financial review of facilities spend and utility consumption Scope and prioritise capital projects and infrastructure upgrades Compliance, Governance & Risk Ensure compliance with OHS legislation, statutory regulations, and property management governance standards Act as custodian of Facilities Management policies, procedures, SLAs, and operational standards Conduct audits to ensure compliance across the portfolio Vendor & Contract Management Oversee SLA management, procurement processes, contractor performance, and vendor adjudication Identify and recommend facilities service providers, technical vendors, and maintenance contractors Sustainability & Utilities Management Lead energy management, sustainability projects, and utility optimisation initiatives Drive innovation in building performance, operational efficiency, and green building strategies Leadership & Portfolio Oversight Provide leadership to regional Facilities and Building Services teams Manage performance, succession planning, and competency development Represent facilities in developments, refurbishments, and property upgrades 📍 Location: JHB North, Gauteng 💼 Role: Full-time | Senior Facilities Management Why This Opportunity?
