Johannesburg North: Financial Accountant (Food Processing) posted by Network Finance

• Prepare management accounts, month-end journals, and financial statements.
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly cost analysis related to food processing activities.
• Handle stock accounting, including reconciliations, variance analysis, and yield reporting.
• Partner with production teams to understand waste, shrinkage, overhead allocations, and cost drivers.
• Maintain general ledger accuracy and complete balance sheet reconciliations.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling for production and distribution units.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS and internal controls across all processing sites.
• Prepare audit files and support external auditors during year-end.
• Drive process improvements and standardisation across finance and production functions.
• Assist in CAPEX reporting, fixed asset management, and operational cost control initiatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• BCom Accounting or equivalent.
• SAICA/SAIPA articles advantageous.
• 3–5 years’ experience as a Financial Accountant within FMCG, food processing, or manufacturing.
• Strong cost accounting experience (essential).
• Advanced Excel and experience with ERP systems (SAP or similar).
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to engage with operational teams.
