About the Role
The Working Earth is seeking a highly skilled Performance Development Consultant to join our team in Johannesburg North. As a key member of our HR team, you will design, implement, and continuously refine a group-wide performance management framework, embedding wellbeing, resilience, and mental wellness into people practices. We are looking for an expert who can drive fair and meaningful performance differentiation across the organisation, build leadership capability in feedback, performance management, and underperformance management, and provide data-driven insights and recommendations on performance trends and risks.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and continuously refine a group-wide performance management framework
- Embed disciplined goal-setting and cascading aligned to strategic objectives
- Facilitate performance calibration and moderation sessions with leadership teams
- Drive fair and meaningful performance differentiation across the organisation
- Build leadership capability in feedback, performance management, and underperformance management
- Provide data-driven insights and recommendations on performance trends and risks
- Integrate performance outcomes into talent development and succession planning
- Embed wellness and resilience principles to support sustainable high performance
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders on complex performance and people matters
Requirements
- Postgraduate qualification in Organisational Psychology, Industrial Psychology, or a related field
- Performance management framework design, governance, and optimisation
- Goal setting, cascading, and performance alignment at group and divisional level
- Performance ranking, calibration, and moderation facilitation
- Senior leader coaching and performance conversation enablement
- Performance analytics and insight-driven decision-making
- Integration of wellbeing, resilience, and mental wellness into people practices
- Strong facilitation, influence, and stakeholder management capability
Qualifications
